Harry Reid vs. You
You deserve congratulations. You’ve done something the liberal Left thought you couldn’t. You have awoken America to the fact that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are playing fast and loose with our economy. You have shown that Congress needs to slow down, concentrate on the economy, and then pass common-sense health care reforms. Harry Reid thought that by this time he’d have completed his government takeover of your health care. Harry Reid didn’t count on you. What you’ve done to stop him has been breathtaking, and you should take a minute to reflect on your accomplishment. Be proud.
But the fight isn’t over. You see, Harry Reid isn’t listening to you. He’s listening to his friends on the far left who are encouraging him to raise taxes on small business, on medical innovation, and worst of all, on Americans not yet born – in short, to plunge our economy deeper into recession. Reid knows that only you can stop his scheme to seize control of one-fifth of our country’s economy, and now he’s coming after you. In fact, this past Monday he made comments on the Senate floor comparing those who are against his health care experiment to those who defended slavery. The fate of his bill – and his political future – rests in the hands of a few undecided Senators, and Reid knows that the only way to get them on his side is to convince them that you don’t matter. Harry Reid isn’t listening to you, and he doesn’t want them to either. He’s telling them that even if they do vote for his bill, you’ll still fall into line and send them back to Washington for another term.
Well, you know that’s just not true. You’ve proven that you care about this issue. Now it’s time to remind these Senators. Let them know that no matter where you live, you will pledge your time, your energy, your money, and your vote to oust these Senators from office unless they vote against the massive tax-increase and government power grab masquerading as health care reform. Call, write, email – do everything you can to let them know that you’re not going to roll over for Harry Reid – and if they want to keep their jobs, they shouldn’t either.
